An Eventful Weekend

Hello friends! Kai again. Anastasia and are quite excited about the submissions we've gotten so far and look forward to receiving more! In the mean time, we've been very much enjoying the beginning of our summer. I thought I'd share some details of our fun and goofy weekend...

After work on Friday, we headed to uptown where we discovered some delicious Thai food and even more delicious sangria...

Naturally, there wasn't enough in the first pitcher for Anastasia so the waiter brought her a whole nother free pitcher!

On the right can be spotted the rare and elusive Austin who hates being photographed but manages to look like a model every time he is captured on film...

Well, after that deliciousness, we moseyed on over the rich people's apartments we like to spy on. Anastasia and I have a long awaited dream to one day break into their pool, sip cocktails, and laugh snobbishly as though we belong there. After that, we discovered more beverages at an Irish pub!

These beverages were mediocre at best and the waitress most certain had a vendetta against us. Anastasia ordered water three times, and on the third try received a glass full of bubbly tonic. Ahh! Anyway, we didn't let that ruin our opportunity to take selfies.

After that interesting event, we ventured forth to a Mexican place where we found margaritas and chips. Then, being the lazy homebodies we are, we journeyed back to our apartment and devoured popcorn on the floor while watching Friends.

Saturday morning, I made pancakes (peanut butter, chocolate, banana pancakes to be exact) and then we went shopping for clothes but ended up with books.

Returning to our humble home, we whipped up some mimosas and headed outside for a picnic. One spaghetti sauce jar of mimosa deep each, we of course began frolicking and attempting gymnastics. Anastasia, being a former gymnast, was embarrassingly better at this than I.

After some deep conversations about our feelings and our favorite author, Anne Rice, we retired to a night of watching Doctor Who.

Sunday was reserved for cleaning, napping, and food prep for the rest of the week as usual. I also took time out of the day to work on cosplay while Anastasia contentedly napped.

Yes, that was our weekend and no, we are not in a codependent relationship at all! Now it's back to work and fittingly back to terrible weather. Tell us about your weekend if you'd like!
